Informal Poll:
Got my first pair of Danners today. Handsome boots, and amazingly comfortable out of the box. You guys wear Danner?? Any testimonials you care to share? Break in tips?
danners are dope! I paid crazy money for the suede version in japan.it's lined with gore tex .keeps your feet super toasty.you should swith out the soles to white vibrams !
I have a pair of Danners which I love: they are perfect wet weather shoes, have nice lug soles which make me feel confident on any surface, and wear well with most pants I own. The only problem is the gore-tex lining. The fuckers start to smell like a sewer almost immediately when I start wearing them regularly. I have read reports from hunters who stopped wearing them because the smell scared off the deer! I think I am going to get a pair of electric boot dryers this fall, or else I am nearly positive this is the last season I wear them: my girl will throw either me or the boots out!
i just picked up an old pair that still have plenty of life in them, just need some new laces and insoles. they'll see the trails once again in a couple weeks!
